I've worn a couple in my life, but never this beautiful. I hung around a Hare Krishna temple a lot when I was younger & everything about them was fascinating to me. I had a few friends there & I would go to events with them & get to dress the part. They would lend me beautiful sarees & jewelry & cook for me... Such good times. We went to Rathiyatra, a Chariot festival every year through the streets of nyc - I remember nostalgically just being a youngster & taking it all in with the best feeling.

They are such a nice way to dress, all the styles of Indian women's clothing really . .. . . it's just beautiful. Women in America go around in sweatpants. Imagine the men you could keep if you always looked like this.

Christian Louboutin has revealed that burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese is the inspiration behind his shoe empire. He explained: "Dita is the ultimate showgirl and top of my list of muses. When she was 11, she dreamt of living a glamorous life and now she lives the dream."

Von Teese has always had a special relationship with Louboutin's shoes. Earlier in the year she debuted his opulent Marie Antoinnette heels on the red carpet, and she was oncepapped showing off the underside of a very badly scuffed pair of red Louboutin soles, prompting some rather bitchy remarks on her attitude to shoe care. Personally, I think that's just evidence of a very much loved and well worn pair of shoes!

And what sparked all this for me was I caught a glimpse of these Louboutin's that Christina Aguilera wore in the movie Burlesque and they were AMAZing. Amazing.

Galliano's recent-ish deparure from Dior was inspiring and brave. (Lee McQueen and Christian Lacroix as well) With these 3 revolutionary designers departing from established houses of French Couture, it's really exciting to think about what is coming.

For some reason I love gloss, the clear part of gloss. So like, Lucite, Acrylic, Lexan, Crystal, Opal, Lube - I like all of it. Check out these cool clear glossy things I wish I had. This first one is from Questo European Modern Designs makes chairs and tables from a polycarbonate which is apparently indestructible. Pretty cool.

I just got the new Cambria Cove catalog - a decadent place to shop and be in love with everything there to be bought.... anyway, they have this first pink ice cream soft serve maker in the picture below but it got me looking for a cheaper option... cause you know you buy these things and only use them once. There are so many CUTE ice cream accessory type thingies out there. I think I settled on a kitchen timer just to make myself happy.

Start by painting a stretched canvas from an art-supply store (we used a pale-pink latex paint). Then plot out your design by penciling dots on the back, keeping them a half-inch apart. Gently press an awl through each dot to make a hole slightly smaller than the diameter of the bulb (we went with strands of mini white Christmas lights). Press a bulb into each hole; secure each with craft clue.

Honesty, anyone who checks this blog must be like, WTF, you never say anything. Its true, I just cant find to blog about relevant things, although I feel I have tons to share on every topic related to website design, search engine optimization, graphics...
