Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Met Museum

My best friend Brenda with glee discovered last night the most exciting of news. May 4 there will be a retrospective of Alexander McQueen"Savage Beauty" Such a fitting name. For those of you who maybe done know, see a slideshow from New York Magazine. *Tisk Tisk Vogue you need to spend more effort on your posting of such a monumental happening. See Trendhunter, or a Bjork album cover catalog or these sites to see what made Alexander so innovative and special. He wasnt just a name, he changed things from the inside. He was brave! Strangely I was sent this slideshow from the New York Times by someone else, a totally differently vibed Slideshow. Hes just so prolific in the weirdest way.

Alexander McQueen's Butterfly Hat

The Beautiful Butterfly Dress .I would have loved to have this dress. Even if I'm fat!

"At this morning’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute press breakfast, held at the Ritz in London, Andrew Bolton, the curator for the upcoming exhibition “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” described how the countervailing forces of darkness and light, primitivism and sophistication, make the designer’s work so singular and so thrilling. pretty little hairstyle things

www.BecomeGorgeous.com is a new website I really enjoy. Well they are not new, but I am new to them. They have beautiful hairstyles and things I wouldn't think of. Not that I will ever be brave enough to change my hair ever, but I like to think about it.

Spa Dreams of Miami

So darlings I am going to Miami next month to hang with my best friends (the BEST best friends ever), but this time without my daughter. So HELLO I am going to do some serious spa "research" while appreciating how lucky I am by best friend lives on Collins Ave in Miami Beach. So no baby this time. Just us. haha. But seriously, I need new inspiration in luxury esthetics that can transfer to my projects . My first Choice is The Lapis Spa, At the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel.
There is a mineral pool/lounge, private men’s and ladies’ spaces with eucalyptus-infused steam room, sauna, a large mineral water jet bath plus semi-private, marble soaking tubs used for therapeutic soaks (each $35 U.S. for a 25-minute soak). One of the more novel water features in the Rain Tunnel - which allows guests to walk through for an automatic down-pouring of warm and cool waters at varying strengths. neat o.

MY Second Choice is the Spa at the

Mandarin Oriental Miami. They say the Spa, with its uninterrupted view of the bay, is one of the most beautiful in the world. I need to start a paypal donation thing. I'll do you some free graphics, you donate to my posh miami 24 hr research trip!

Go for it Girl

Jennifer Lawrence took my breath away in Winters Bone. Bread and Butter.
How she retained beauty the way she did, no makeup, dirty, in the midst of that shite hole of a gruesome, depressing and scary sorta movie like that shows her worth. I love her, I love her clothing choices. Please can I have this dress? Who makes a knock off? Im so glad she gets to rock it the way she does. She obviously has no "media" training and says wacky things alot. I like it. Anyway little lady I am rooting for you, not that you need it. Be my Zac Ephron. Young, gorgeous, capable and worthy.

viktor & rolf lashes

I'm not ashamed to admit that I love false eyelashes. If it wasn't such a nightmare to put them on I would wear them everyday. I guess this is old news but if you have not seen Shu Uemura's Tokyo Lash Bars collections, check them out. And if you missed our post on the custom ones done for Madonna and Italian Vouge, go look - they are truly haute couture

Madonna also has eyelashes with $10k of diamonds on them, among other items
